I was back at university, though it was the present day. Nobody seemed to have aged, although one of my former friends (Amy?) was a vampire. She got very dramatic about it and destroyed herself by jumping into a pond, which I hadn’t realized was fatal to vampires.
Angus was there, in a stairwell, and said that a lot of people on campus were vampiric but that it was a spectrum condition, with some having worse symptoms than others. He wasn’t a vampire, but I knew he was dead and felt mildly surprised to see him.
There were also a few people who seemed to be original to this dream, including a professor who I described to Kristine as “like the twins,” (in the dream I couldn’t recall Donald and David’s names) “but slightly older,” which i suppose would have made him the age they are now in real life. I had a crush on him.
Something else involving unlocking safes or cell doors with spoons, and there was blood inside some of the locks. Just before I woke up I crashed a staff party, hoping to run across the professor to whom I’d taken a shine (though we already had an appointment to go explore a maze with some other people). Some guy had fashioned himself robes from the curtains and was declaiming that he was... some local historical figure? Nobody was listening. I felt like I was having difficulty breathing and went into a room that had the windows open, but left that room again for some reason. People talking?
Somewhere in all these scenarios there was also a vampire who was revealed in her true form by being slathered with egg-white (whipped). Not sure that anything I’ve just described happened in chronological order.

Are these people you went to school with?
Mostly. I didn’t meet Donald and David (the twins) until a few years after I graduated, which might be why I had trouble remembering their names in the university context, or why they had a professorial doppelganger.
The Dreaming
Date: 2020-12-10 09:19 pm (UTC)From:Dream decides to look into it and turns the whole Dreaming and its inhabitants into sand which crumbles into a big pile in one pan of a set of scales. He sits in the other pan and, sure enough, he's two grains short! Good thing he ran the assay too because his big sister turns up to complain about him poaching.
