I can't recall the last time I saw anything as funny and brilliant as that xkcd. The mashing of video games with the venerable "Mavis Beacon" typing trainer program so that it has a "Boss Fight" slays me.
On a personal note, I learned to type in a typing class on an IBM Selectric with a metronome at the front and everything. I was derided for taking a "trivial" course instead of something more abstract, such as a geography course where you got to memorize the current principle exports of different countries, but the typing rate I got from that course has been one of the most valuable skills I ever learned. It's gotten me out of the office about an hour earlier each day than I otherwise would have in a lot of programming jobs.
