They pay a minimum amount, and according to the terms of my employment, my job will pay for three days of jury duty -- the trouble is this is apparently selection for a murder trial that could go for a month. (I'm hoping that's the worst-case scenario and they're just legally obligated to say "could run four weeks" on the paperwork, but there you go.)
