Had a decent enough time at T-Trek (Saturday only). green_trilobite will have some photos up soon enough, including the Friends of the Merril panel that got scheduled for eleven-freaking-o'clock on a Saturday night, and consequently consisted of green_trilobite and theengineer, plus three audience members, only one of whom was not related by DNA or marriage to a panelist.

Meanwhile, I've come across some local competition for Donald Trump's hotel/condo project here in Toronto. I don't know much about real estate or economics - I just hope this goes up because it looks like a Frank R. Paul illustration and ooh! shiny!

Oh, hey, were you at the dance when they were playing what I believe was the Super Mario Bros. theme music (or something from a Nintendo game anyway), and when the blurpy jump sound kicked in, everybody jumped, fist held high in an "up up and away" gesture? That was fun.
