I dreamt I was at a reasonable approximation of my actual workplace, slightly annoyed because I hadn’t stopped for breakfast on the way there, when I heard an announcement on the radio that the gov’t was shutting down the University of Waterloo because it wasn’t profitable enough. I was so upset at this I had to go outside and scream curses for a bit. Then I was in Waterloo, where the teaching staff were so underpaid they had to grow pot on the side to make ends meet – unfortunately, with the students leaving there would be no market for this, so that job was gone too. They were fiercely determined to survive, and were considering growing grapes instead. I wanted to ask the guy who seemed to be their de facto leader whether there was any merit in the idea of converting old bus shelters into hot-houses, but everyone else was talking to him, so I bided my time and offered to help them sort through their bookshelves; they were running out of shelf-space, so they were weeding out duplicate copies, with the intention of using them as construction material for *more* bookshelves.

Jon went to Waterloo. He frequently ran outside to scream curses, only it was at the huge amount of geese on campus whose incessant honking wouldn't allow him sleep or peace of mind. XD
