C is for Cookie

Apparently Sesame Street, as part of an attempt to promote healthier lifestyles, will have fewer scenes of the Cookie monster eating cookies. What’s next, Oscar the Grouch obsessively using hand sanitizer?

Himself was equally shocked: “Keep your morality off my body,” he growled in a fair imitation of the Cookie Monster’s trademark voice.

Anyway, if they want to put Cookie on a healthier diet, shouldn’t he start by cutting out the really insane things he eats, like furniture, soccer balls, oil paintings, etc?

I loved Sesame Street! Of all the shows that raised me that show probably had the biggest influence. Cookie monster was one of the best characters next to The Count. I don't even know what to say about the cookie monster eating to many cookies, seams silly to me. He is a cookie monster and they are asking him to be moderate with his consumption of cookies! He wouldn't really be the cookie monster anymore.

Also he always struck me as much less huge than he should have been, considering what he ate. Maybe he should publish a book of his diet secrets, like those "Why the French Don't Get Fat even though their Country Has Such Great Food" books :-)
