Everyone headed in vague direction of explosions. Oh there’s ‘Waltzing Mathilda’ again—uh-oh, it’s slow and dripping into a minor key. *bites knuckles*
From my limited Movie German, I think Rommel just said “sandstorms can be useful.’ Sandstorms are also useful for hiding the join between studio and stock footage
'Waltzing Mathilda' on the soundtrack replaced with 'Greensleeves' on diegetic harmonica, probably because two non-Australians are talking. Wonder if the scriptwriters were fans of Journey's End-- there's a bit of a flipped Stanhope and Osborne dynamic here.
