It is November 6. The Americans are still counting their election ballots. I just bought a poppy in anticipation of Remembrance Day. The forecast says we’re heading into a weekend of mild weather.

You can damn well hold out for another fortnight before you play “Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time.”
