Saturday Report and a Meme

We managed to last two hours at the rally downtown, despite the heat — we were on a street island in the middle of University Ave, so there were trees providing some shade, and the organizers put up a canopy. Attendance seemed pretty decent. Passing cars and trucks honked encouragingly.

This seems to be the latest blog meme going around:

Chances are people you don't even know are being introduced to your journal every day, either randomly or through someone else. In addition to recent entries, people can get to know you better by what you posted in the past. With that in mind post a link to your entries on this day six months ago, nine months ago, a year ago, and two years ago. If there was no entry on that day, link the closest date.

I very much doubt new people are finding this blog “every day,” unless there are several hundred lurkers reading this that I don’t know about (waves in case there are.) However, I’m curious to look back myself, and today being June 30th, the calculations are easier than usual:

6 months ago - It was New Year’s Eve
9 months ago - we tried to go to Nuit Blanche, and had a reasonably good time.
12 months ago - nothing on the exact date, so I cheated slightly and linked the previous post rather than the next post. The former is more interesting, even if the latter was closer to the date.
24 months ago - we watched Just Imagine, the most early-thirties SF musical ever made.
