Dream Report
May. 25th, 2011 11:36 amI dreamt I was at a reasonable approximation of my actual workplace, slightly annoyed because I hadn’t stopped for breakfast on the way there, when I heard an announcement on the radio that the gov’t was shutting down the University of Waterloo because it wasn’t profitable enough. I was so upset at this I had to go outside and scream curses for a bit. Then I was in Waterloo, where the teaching staff were so underpaid they had to grow pot on the side to make ends meet – unfortunately, with the students leaving there would be no market for this, so that job was gone too. They were fiercely determined to survive, and were considering growing grapes instead. I wanted to ask the guy who seemed to be their de facto leader whether there was any merit in the idea of converting old bus shelters into hot-houses, but everyone else was talking to him, so I bided my time and offered to help them sort through their bookshelves; they were running out of shelf-space, so they were weeding out duplicate copies, with the intention of using them as construction material for *more* bookshelves.
