I like this because I recall an interview in TV Guide, some time in the first couple of seasons, in which Sarah Jessica Parker suggested that maybe the whole series was just a wish-fulfillment fantasy taking place in her character's mind/syndicated column: "I don't believe she really owns all those shoes."
