Have decided that Bond villains can keep their palatial architecture - I want one of the adorable California bungalows that blackmailers in Chandler novels rent with their ill-gotten funds. The trouble, of course, with being a Chandler blackmailer is that they get killed less than a third of the way into the novel by the main villain: Marlowe comes back to the house to ask something else, and finds them shot. The architecture gets more screen time than they do.
