Your weekly dose of TTC drama
Feb. 24th, 2009 10:41 pmWas slightly late getting home tonight because:
1. some time before I got to Queen & Spadina, there was an accident on Queen;
2. the driver of a 501 streetcar informed her passengers she was going to have to divert;
3. one of the passengers took the news very badly.
When I got to the intersection, he was yelling at and shoving her, and as I got closer, her lunged on to her; some passengers tried to pull him off and he hit them. Eventually a guy near me barked something like "What are you doing?!" grabbed the guy and threw him to the ground. He got up and skulked away, but of course we then had to wait around while the TTC authorities and the police were alerted.
By the time we got going (on another 501 car), there was no sign of the accident that had set off the chain of events in the first place.
