Somewhat Holidayish

My friend visiting from England told me the other night that there are foxes in the environs of London. This made me feel good, and today I put my finger on why, and reread one of Joan Aikens Wolves of Willoughby Chase books - Dido and Pa, because it has the best imagery of the ones I've read. I love the way the street urchins' games and rhymes are actually a subtle running commentary on everything that goes on in the story.
