Don't know if anyone here is into Jane Siberry, but it's been going around LJ: she's releasing free mp3s of most of her oeuvre. Also she's changed her name to Issa, though no one seems to know if that's a reference to the excellent haiku-writing guy. Follow the links to check both artists out.

Note- well checking out the Issa site, I noticed the guy who runs it has also written a number of novels, one of which, Haiku Wars, is narrated by a boddhisatva currently incarnated as a pet ferret belonging to a college prof in New Orleans. Looks good - you can read the opening here.

My brother is a big fan, and we both went to see her at Hugh's Room some months back. She's got such an amazing voice. And at the show she admitted she did a song for a Care Bear's movie.
