Cut for Cat Health News

[personal profile] sabotabby , you probably shouldn’t read this.

Narly has been going downhill, and I think I’m going to have to have him euthanized tomorrow— just emailed the vet about it. Andrew is heartbroken, but it was his suggestion— I think he will be less distressed once it’s over and he doesn’t have to watch the cat suffer. Really this has been at the back of both our minds for months, but I was never going to be the first to say anything.

I clicked on it anyway. My condolences. IT's so hard.

I'm so sorry. How old is Narly?

I'm so sorry. Our cat Cleo is fifteen. Her brother died just before he reached eleven.

The 10th life

So sad. Inevitable though. Whether or not we think about it at the time, this is the deal we make with our little fur-babies when we bring them on-board. We'll be there at the end to make the decisions about euthanasia that they can't. In a way, I envy them. Both my parents died horrible, lingering deaths because they didn't have the vet option.

Still, it's hard for those of us left behind. I still miss my dear friends Baby T. Cat and Tiger T. Cat.

Remember to 'accidentally' spill a bag of treats where Narly can get to them tomorrow.
