In News of Obscure Fics

Discovered the other day that there actually *are* two Robertson Davies fics out there (both for the Deptford Trilogy), and that there are thirty-two fics for The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, because at least four viewers ship Clive Candy/Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff. Understandably.

ETA — apparently “Anton Walbrook’s hair in disarray” is a widespread fetish.

I had no idea and I'm delighted.

The thing that really surprised me was the existence of fic for The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T (1953), although I note approvingly that the one that isn't a crossover takes the threesome as read.

Ooh! Hurrah! Happy endings for everyone, even if the 1950s require them to keep it under wraps!

I truly love that story. (It keeps reminding me that I need a Hans Conried icon.)

And the advantage of get-together weather is that when everyone’s out picnicking, no one’s likely to think it odd if you invite an extra person along.

That is a very good point and I like it. Even the piano teacher.
