Eek

Apparently our company holiday party is to be an afternoon of curling. I don’t believe any of us know how to curl, except maybe one guy, and the sport seems to have been chosen on the theory that it’s easy and doesn’t require a lot of physical fitness; whereas I’ve always believed from watching it and from a few things I’ve heard, that it’s a sport for people who don’t *look* like society’s idea of an athlete, but who in fact have considerable aim, balance, and flexibility.

Trying to figure out if I can do this in leggings and my black jersey skirt, as I don’t much like the thought of going on the ice in either high-waisted, tailored wool trousers, or skinny jeans, and those are the only trousers I have that I could even consider wearing.

I had a work trip to curling once or possibly twice; I ended up with huge bruises on my knees, so if you have anything with a bit of padding, I'd recommend it!

:( for compulsory fun. Though curling is a beautifully niche pastime/sport which makes it sound appealing on that score alone.
