Spring?

It's at least -20 C this morning, but I saw a robin when I was on my way in to work. Not a particularly happy robin (camped out under a shrub, feathers ruffled and looking less than thrilled with the circumstances), but a robin nonetheless.

I've seen a few too; there's a bit on the way to work where there's a manhole cover of some sort which is warm; it melts the snow around it and often steams (no idea what's beneath it!), so the earliest birds gather there. presumably because they can look for worms or whatever they eat in the ground there when everything else is covered with snow or frozen solid. I'm not expecting actual spring for another six weeks or so though!
