EEEE!
Trying not to spoil anything, but Big Plot Developments in today's ep of WtNV.
Including the confirmation that Cecil doesn't mindlessly repeat propaganda (whether it be the City Council's or Strex's) but in his cryptic way gives out as much info as he safely can.
Nice bit about a crowd of citizens "inadvertently" getting between some Strexcorp employees and Tamika Flynn.
Also -- Earl Harlan, gone but not forgotten.
ETA, now that I've had a bit more time to reflect:
Now that Cecil’s opposition to Strex is finally confirmed, I hope the listeners will stop worrying every time he sounds cheerful about something: “Oh no, maybe Strex has brainwashed him,” even though Cecil has always had cheerful moments (and at the end of “Lazy Day” he was clearly heading over to Carlos’ place and had every reason to sound happy.)
The traffic was a veiled call on Night Vale to rebel, but I’m wondering whether the PSA about deer was as well “Nature is gorgeous, and it will kill you.”Or at least reminder that while Cecil is cute and friendly, he too can probably be dangerous if pushed too hard.
That Strex-sponsored ad seemed to be continuing Strex’s theme of meadows, but now the grass has something stalking through it. Is the stalking creature Strex, or was Cecil using tone of voice to subvert the ad into another reminder that Nature fights back?
The half-seen face in the dark just before sleep was on the List of Things from Episode 2, "Glow Cloud." Probably just a nod to continuity. Probably.
Tamika has the ability to vanish in plain sight, apparently. Does this mean she’s receiving some sort of covert assistance from Mayor Pamela?

For some reason I had that disgusting portion of fandom in mind which is 'lobbying' for the ' gay propoganda' to be edited out of WTNV when Cecil was doing the traffic part. I think it was informing my interpretation of what he was saying.
