Wow, Fringe is really determined to make me watch their season finale: Brad Dourif has been cast as a mysterious mystery guy.

Aw, damn. lol.
I wonder if the guy who played Denethor will set himself on fire and jump off a building like a big, flaming drama queen in a fit of nostalgia?
May 6th. *carefully writes that down* I shall jam you on a tape with Iggy Drexel and Dr. David Lingard, "Moreau" the not-japanese person.

Well, that'd make for one hell of a season ender :)

Wonder if the character's name was originally spelt Moro?

Also, possible H.G.Wells reference ahoy!

Hmmmmm possible.
I can't help but wonder how that rationalization went.
"No, it absolutely won't work unless the character is Japanese. Our entire feeling of artistic integrity rests on casting a Japanese actor and nobody else could possibl.....oh, Brad Dourif will do it? ...Well fuck. Okay then."
Is it bizzare that I always quietly hope they don't make him cut his hair? :D

Well, I think in the casting call they quote it says something like "famous Japanese actor or actor famous in Japan." So I dunno, maybe they're hoping to make the show Big In Japan?

Seems like a really odd goal.
But then, I've seen about 90 seconds of Fringe, tops.
My mother refuses to watch it because she was so pissed off about changes to Faramir's character / Denethor's Flaming-Swanton-Bomb-of-Fail in LotR that she can't even look at John Noble without getting irrationally upset.

Polite Dissent (http://www.politedissent.com/) has a Fringe Doom Clock which is usually set around 5 to midnight - Dr. Scott moves it forward or back a couple of minutes each episode depending on whether or not the story was good enough to make up for the bad science. I suspect he and his readers have developed a weird liking for the show, however, since they never quite give up on it.

What an odd site.
Don't get me wrong, I would be impressed if someone was telling me what sort of needle Onyx should be using to sew shut a gash in her own head, and whether or not potential for infection would mean it would be best to leave the wound open, I'd be impressed.
But I'd also be smiling politely and backing away slowly, with my hands held up defensively in front of me.
