Yay, no transit strike!

In other notes, we stumbled across Prince of Egypt on tv (for Passover, presumably); not bad except for the Egyptian priests who are trying way too hard to be Disney Villains; but wow, slashiest Moses/Ramses ever.

You're not kidding, man! That's primarily why I still keep it around, even though it's chock-full of other great things and sequences (except, as you say, for those dumb priests).;)

Andrew says they're very Lex and Clark.

Indeed. :)

Hm, had I known this was on at the time, I might have checked it out - I've never seen it. I have the Matthew Broderick version of Godzilla on right now. (I know purists hate it, but I'm sorry... I've had a crush on Matthew Broderick since I was 15. I'd even sit through Inspector Gadget if it was on.)

No, no, watch it for Hank Azeria and/or Jean Reno!

Which, Inspector Gadget? I don't remember them being in Godzilla. Then again, I wasn't actually watching, because the computer doesn't face the TV.

Actually, speaking of Inspector Gadget... years ago, my ex and I were watching TV while his mother was napping on the couch. The I.G. cartoon came on, and we decided to go upstairs. My ex-in-laws had a rather complex setup involving a satellite dish, and Joe's mother didn't know how to operate it, so someone else always had to change the channel for her. Later that evening, his mother jokingly told us off because... "You left the room and left me there watching goddamned Captain Whistle!"

For the next several years, the joke stuck - we always referred to Inspector Gadget as "Goddamned Captain Whistle" after that. :)

I love the dream sequence done in the form of hieroglyphics.

We came in after that part, but it sounds good.
