There's another not-TARDIS much later, when a police officer finds a tramp who's just found the checked suit the protagonist has attempted to ditch in the park because it's dangerous evidence that could link him to the murder he's supposedly the victim of, and also being hunted for. The whole movie thus far has been Newton's character making one bad impulse decision after another (punching his cousin George, about five minutes in, though George had it coming, was probably written in to let us all know what kind of ride we were in for).
