Totally textbook terrible management. Nothing is a bigger waste of everybody's time than micro-management. It's like having someone look over your shoulder while you're working at a computer going "move the cursor up with the mouse.. no higher! ... NO! You fool! Not that high!"

The two minutes you left early cost the company less than the time spent talking about it. And that 's only the direct costs.
