Do This, Don't do That
The other day I was waiting for the bus after work when I saw a truck with the logo of a local furniture business, and it was the most surreal collage of clip-art I’d ever seen.
It’s hard to actually get a good look at it on the website because it’s a spinning animated gif, but it’s basically a picture of a man shouting and making an emphatic gesture, and pictures of a sofa and a chest of drawers have been superimposed on his hands so it looks like he’s holding up some tiny furniture.
I was reminded of it today when I saw a Mister Collision truck on the way to work and spent some time trying to parse their confusing logo.
By contrast, Bin There Dump That has a great logo as well as a clever name, and Kids' Planet, though a bit mad with fonts, demonstrates a rare correct use of the possessive apostrophe.
