Question for all you real writers out there

Masked Mosaic turned down my too-tangentially-superheroic story. I've been looking for other places to submit it and found a couple. Am I allowed to submit it to more than one publisher simultaneously, or do I have to wait for one to say "no" before I can try another?

It's usually best to not do simultaneous subs. I still feel bad about screwing two people over that way back in 199...3, I think. The good part is that things are usually a lot faster than they used to be, due to email.
