Happy Rebranding Day!

My last week at the temp job. They had balloons everywhere today, and cake, to celebrate, um, the fact that the company's slightly changed its name. Today is also the start of Chinese New Year. This apparently led to at least one person, upon arriving to greetings and balloons, replying "Gung Hay Fat Ch- - wait, those aren't New Year's decorations! WTF?!"

I think it represents a new merger or something.

Meanwhile I came to a conclusion today: it's not working with people a dozen years younger than myself that annoys; it's when they act like they're two dozen years younger than myself.

They're all in their early twenties, but don't seem to have moved past the "flirting with each other through taunts" stage; I can't take much more of: "You're dumb." "No, you're dumb!" "Your face is dumb." "This fax is a duplicate." "Your face is a duplicate," etc.

I've had a very Grandpa-Simpson-esque "I don't like the look of those teenagers" attitude since I actually was a teenager, so yeah...youth and I are not on good terms.
