Weird Nomenclatures

Today in the data mines I noticed that someone had given their toddler a name which for the sake of her privacy I won't repeat, but which was structured: trendy girl's name / trendy girl's name / mother's family name / father's family name II. It was the "II" that got to me, since I can't imagine anyone else ever having worn this particular four-barrelled name. Two possibilities occur - the rather sad one that perhaps her parents lost a baby, and gave the next one the exact same name in some act of defiance; or, since her father is also So-and-so II, that they treated the "II" as part of his family name.

Then there's the family that named their three offspring Wilbert, William and Wilhelmina. Their father is Wilfredo. I can only assume he owns a lot of monogrammed items that he wants to bequeath.

Technically, I'm Donald Hutton, the second; colloquially "Junior". It's a real pain growing up with all of the confusion which that causes.

There was another one today: I'm going to call Occam's Razor and assume the client entered her kid's name, noticed she'd got the birthdate wrong, re-entered her kid and then couldn't figure out how to delete the original; otherwise, I'd be forced to believe that someone has two daughters with the same name, born on the 1st and 10th of December, the same year.
