I've come down with, I think, the cold everyone else has been fighting since SFContario; which means I likely caught it at the Chizine Very Special Christmas Special Special on Wednesday. I hope I didn't pass it 'round the building at last night's party.

Between bouts of sleeping we've been watching old Universal horror pictures. Fun fact - Ernest Thesinger's other skills included needlepoint; apparently he published a book called Adventures in Embroidery.

I just saw the old horror/fantasy "Death Takes a Holiday". What a great Death! I like when the Baron announces his intention to become a drunken "four-bottle" man and Death gets a nostalgic gleam in his eye: "Yes, I have known many 'four-bottle' men..."

Sending good, healthy thoughts because it it's the current international Cold of Despair going around, it's no fun at all, other than allowing you to get caught up on every TV show you've ever wanted to see, between sleep marathons.
