That's exactly what I mean by poor management. At the very least strike two should have been pointed out as "Strike Two" and you should have been told that "one more like that and you're out": although Strike One would have been even better. Now he has to start all over again with some random person - like that is something he can afford to constantly do?

Often these places make up reasons to fire people so that they don't have to pay benefits. As long as the Temp agency delivers a new batch of people every few weeks they can get away with it. Or else there's some random, illicit reason they wanted to get rid of you for such as jealousy from some crony and, again, they make something up. I'm half-convinced that that was the reason that I was laid off from the last place I was at because the project that they decided didn't need a project manager for any more then failed due to lack of management.

You really shouldn't assume that your actions entirely, or in some cases even mostly, determine your outcomes. It makes you feel sad and it pisses off Dr. Fate.
