Entering a new phase of The War On Moths

Yesterday was probably not the best day to move furniture (HEAT HEAT HEAT), but a couple of friends came by in the evening and helped us lug our couch and bed into the elevator and out to the curb. We have to empty the closet and move everything away from the walls before the fumigators come on Tuesday. The bedroom is going to become a box room, and green_trilobite has spotted a suitable-looking ikea sofabed that we’ll try to get delivered for Wednesday – the mattress unfolds to lie directly on the floor, so we won’t have to worry about breakable springs like we did with our old sofabed. I’m hoping this will also result in the living room becoming less cluttered – at least until green_trilobite acquires more stuff to fill it.

Unrelated thing: I found out this morning there’s a place in Nova Scotia called Kempt Head. This amuses me more than it really should.

O god, movin' furniture on a day like that. We went to pick up a pizza and it just about killed us.
Will you have to stay away for a few days til the air clears, or is it a more localized job?

Apparently it only takes a few hours to clear, so I booked a day off from work and we'll likely run errands, go see a movie, etc. We're boarding the cats at the vets overnight, though, just to be safe.

Probably a good idea...if Severus saw unfamiliar-smelling residue on a wall, his first impulse would almost certainly be to start licking and question it later. :P
