So – any ideas on what we can do to limit the damage over the next four years? More specifically, any ideas on what I can do as the spouse of someone whose mental/physical issues keep me from dragging him to protest marches?

Not even - student tuition hike in the late '90s. it's a long story and most of it doesn't make much sense in retrospect - let's just say the trouble with a protest march is that whoever yells the loudest tends to take charge, and that tends to be the most radical people...
