Semi-Good News
Peter Watts fined but not jailed.
On the downside, he's still got to pay $1700 and go on record as a convicted felon, basically for not saying thank-you-sir-may-I-have-another quickly enough. On the up side, Not Going to Jail is always a good thing; although it will deny people the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the right sort of hat to wear at seven in the morning to greet a friend who's been away.
