Just woke from a dream in which I went to hell, or maybe some sort of non-judgmental land-of-the-dead, because it wasn't particularly unpleasant, just weird; and overall, very low-budget and homemade. There was a lot of Flat Black paint and signs done in magic marker and bristol board. Some of the more upscale sections had neon and strobe lights, but a lot of it looked like some 14-year-old goths and/or metalheads had set up a club in their family's basement - which now that I think of it, is pretty much what Milton's fallen angels did.

I dreamed I went to see a prequel to Watchmen involving a lot of costumed heroes from places like Australia. The production values were surprisingly high, but it'd immediately been slated into a cineplex theatre so small that it was like watching a movie on somebody's not-so-big-screen TV. It occurred to us that if they'd only project it a bit wider, they could let the image slop onto the wall and not lose a lot of detail. Unfortunately, said wall was mainly taken up with a massive window, behind which you could see the theatre's accounting staff reckoning up the night's box office.
