Further Adventures in Sewing

I made a dress today, after several weeks of planning it out in my head. I don't yet dare set in zippers, so I was going for a Claire McCardell-inspired "thing that pulls over your head and ties at the waist." A-line skirts are easy, but I need to work on fitting the bodice.

At some point I hope to get good enough to justify buying some really cool fabric off Spoonflower (or possibly designing my own fabric).

The sleeveless blouse now in progress with the remaining fabric was cut out on the bed; the cats definitely got excited over that one.
