My routine these days consists of going to work, staring at a screen and trying to make my quota of reports, going home and helping green_trilobite pack things into boxes; another week and a half of this to go. I'm desperately looking forward to tomorrow night when we give ourselves an evening off to go to First Thursday, but I also miss just being able to take a half-hour on my way home and hit a thrift store to browse. Even - if I could spare the time right now, I can't spare the organizational space until after we move to the new digs. Here for a vicarious thrill, then, is a woman in England who bought her wedding dress from an Oxfam shop as part of her and her husband's attempt to lead by example with an environmentally-friendly wedding. At least one commenter snarks that it's easy enough to wear a thrift-shop dress when you're as good-looking as the woman in this case, but I would argue that second-hand clothes logically come in all sizes and styles, and that it's a matter of having the taste to pick out the ones that work on you; then again I enjoy thrifting.
