Made it to and through the Speak Easy Illustration show last night despite the onset of a headcold. My mom is in town and corralled a posse of relatives, but I suspect I should have tried harder to impress upon my friends that this was a one-night-only event (Thanks, theengineer, for taking off time from the Film Festival to drop by - I hope I didn't give you or Anonymous Don my cold). I hung around in front of my work in case anybody had any questions, but all I was asked was whether I was a member of the Rocket Riders Kickball team (the logo I'd designed for them was up). I got up the nerve to talk to the other artists, however, and talked technique with Sergio DeVuono, Ian Phillips and Charlotte Unissen.

Now my cold has reached the stag where the virus is trying to leave via my sinuses, and Carter, after 3-4 months of good behaviour, has taken to marking his territory (my side of the bed) again. Bleurgh. I'm glad I already took the day off, but had been hoping to spend it more pleasantly.
